Ease My Pain

by Brian Cox on Jan.03, 2010, under Music!

The song Ease my pain is personal. It gives an inside look at the addictions that grip many people throughout the world. The chorus is sampled from the film “Twilight”, and although the original song was not meant for drug abuse, we thought we would put our own spin on it. Many families and friends are torn apart each day because of a loved one who is addicted to one of these hardcore drugs who let it effect their everyday life. Our lyrics for the song come from several things. The first is seeing this happen first hand. When you’re faced with a situation, such as a loved one being addicted to harmful drugs, it has an immediate impact on everyone around them. The lying, the stealing, and the harm done to themselves is enough to tear any family apart. This was the most important basis for the song. Knowing what we have gone through we wanted to make a song for anyone out there who can relate to it in any way. The second basis for our lyrics is being educated on the topics we discuss. We pride ourselves on our intellect and actually being aware of what these drugs do to your body was extremely important to know before the song was written. The main message we hope to send people is not to try these drugs in the first place. With drugs as addictive as heroin and cocaine, half the battle is never trying. We have seen too many good people travel too far down the wrong path and before they know it, it’s too late to turn back. Instant Classics as a group wants to make the world a better place and our music is how we express our inner most feelings about the problems our society faces today.
